Dino Cattaneo's F-14D Tomcat Version 2.25

Hello Daube,

-Thanks for the explanation!
However, my fps is limited to 24!
And most importantly, it does not produced with the old version, which I have kept!
Thank you and good day to all !:wavey:

Hello everyone,

Daube put me on the track, and changing the "damping ratio" of 0.500 to 0.600, catapulting to work properly on several attempts! :jump:
Thank you to all!

Dino,

I've flown your F-14s for the last 8 or 9 years and it was one of the first aircraft I downloaded after I got FS9. I had the pleasure of flying your latest one with two friends tonight and had an absolute blast. Just wanted to say thank you for all of the years of fun and entertainment.

Here are some of the pictures.

Try it with TacPack. :)

1/ is it implemented here in the air refuel? Didnt work for me

2/ I see only "Shoot" info for Phoenix from 10-16 nm in A2A mode, Radar ON, PH selected, Lock on the other aircraft (Enter but not a yellow Lock [?]), Hi alt, but saw info from the others about good hunting from 40-50 nm too. How to do that?

Air refuel code has been completely remade in the latest version in order to implement a proper fuel flow rate (much slower than the previous iteration)... but the code has not been tested.

As for the AIM-54, there is a bug in the Tacpack code (which I hoped it was solved but apparently is not) - thing is the missiles report their ranges for NON-lofted trajectories, regardless if they are commanded to "loft" or not. AIM-54 achieves his range through an extremely lofted trajectory. It is possible to shoot and hit targets at 40-50Nm (depending on speed and aspect), provided you have a missile lock. In short, disregard the reported missile range as it is inaccurate.

Ahh ok! I will be more patient, will check it again. Thank You Dino for reply.

Edit:

Dino I checked. Didnt work refuel option in the air now. I changed next time for F-35, no problems with too same tanker, so perhaps problem in 2.25 of F-14.

Just wanted to pop in and express a quick thanks - my long awaited X-55 arrived today, and I've just spent a very pleasing hour and a half doing nothing but practicing my angle of attack to the deck (well, ground, since I was flying out at KNFL). Such a great plane, really is one of my favorites in FSX.

All,

thanks for the appreciation!
It is good to know that people enjoy flying the virtual Tomcat.
There are a couple of further tweaks I will release soon.

Dino,

How to deselect this diamond from A/G mode? Always when Id like to release a bombs they follow to marked target, not like CCIP free fall.

Dino,
For sure!

In my current implementation, guided ordnance will always try to follow the assigned target if any - even if the release mode is set to CCIP.
You may want to load unguided ordnance if that is the scope.
