DINO T-45 Goshawk

...well, not really.
I believe I have not released any paintkit... nor I will. I am sorry but I am an old-school dinosaur which does not use layers very much... so I do not have proper paint kits for my plane.
I know may repainters don't like my birds for this reason... but old habits die hard!

No hard feelings! Your aircraft look super as the are! It is discouraging to us painters, but heck, when there's a will, there's a way!

I just like sitting in the cockpit. I could care less about what the outside looks like. I'll leave that to the ground crews to worry about. All kidding aside, I have done repaints on Dino's Tomcats in the past and it is not that difficult to do if you know your paint program well enough. Paint kits are a relatively new thing and for us old timer FS people we had to get by without them. There are still some nice tutorials on Free Flight Design that will show you how to do it without a paint kit. So get out there and laminate and refurbish that old T-45 then let me know when it's ready for me to fly to the carrier.

Yeah I can paint without layers or a paint kit no problem but having one just gives you more options to play around with. As far as being unsatisfied if a plane has no paint kit? Not in the least.

I just need to paint one all red anyway which I just accomplished after learning I won't find a paint kit.
It's going to be our pace plane (T-45) for our Reno races. The real event uses a T-33 but the T45 is a much better aircraft for the task we're looking for during the events.

Some years back Michael Morrissey (Mick) did many repaints of some of my vintage naval aircraft. (Most were for FS2000 and FS2002) I was astonished to learn he did these in Paint! He said he just made a template and filled in the desired colors. They all looked very nice. Good thing because I didn't know how to make a paint kit then, let alone now.

Yep, i started painting back in those days without paintkits also. Heck, even with one, I end up with twice as many layers as when I started, LOL.

I remember back in FS2002, I ended up painting a whole fleet for a guys VA, 30+ aircraft and not a single paintkit, whew!! taught me alot about PSP and photoshop though.
