Dino's F-35 now at SimMarket (payware)

Thanks for the quick update Dino. Texture installed!! Great service for a great aircraft.

The U.K. just took delivery of their first F-35B on Monday at Eglin AFB. Heard him fly right over my work! What a great sound that jet makes!

So who's gonna be the first to paint the U.K. bird?

I would love to but i believe that there is no paint kit. I cant be bothered without a kit.

I still have Dino's excellent package from 2010 - but i must admit that the A version in the lastest package is better. Nice to have the other paint schemes from the original pack.

Well, I have some unfinished texture sets which were not included in the final package because they needed more work.
These include:

BK-1 (first British aircraft)
CF-1 (first -C prototype... the only one with "flashy" tails...)

Other paintschemes, like AA-1 and AF-1 (shown in Barnes's images) were not pursued as those aicraft have slightly different design than LRIP aircrafts.
As for the paintkit, no proper paintkit will be available - sorry - but I will probably provide "clean" textures to start with.

Downloading now, Great offer of the 10 Euro price for previous customers, cant wait to fly the "Charlie"!! :salute:

Bleeping Hell - i missed that you could get a discount in my rush to get it. I dont mind - its such good value and Dino deserves the difference.

Dino, I must congratulate you on an excellent job, the animations for the F-35B's engine are superb!

Regards,
Ian.

Is there a clean F-35C variant to do carrier quals?

VCN-1

No, Dino doesn't like the bottom of the wing on that variant so has it always with loads to mask it. Personally, I would rather have the clean C with flaws as well. I'm hoping he'll make that model a separate download for those who really want it, regardless of flaws.

Last night i flew the B model from the deck of the Clemenceau... and i must say, the hover mode on this plane is nothing short of excellent! So easy to control and very predictable. Plane just sat there in mid air, and gently came to rest on the deck. Again, well done Dino!

Very impressed Dino and Team! Dropped the nozzle, joined the carrier to port side, tuned Nav. 1 to carrier freq. in hover mode and the bird just trickled along at 21 Kts to match the carrier. Just stunning! Now if only the deck were clear! :salute:

So thats how you do it, I've been trying everthing to get the aircraft to drop its nose in the hover, so I could match the carriers speed, must have missed that bit in the 2 seconds it took me to read the manual lol! Oops!!

Can I just say I added that freeware 'G' effect VC vibration and noise and it works great on this jet, really adds to the ultimate realism factor!!

Same here! The stealthiness is one of the unique features of the plane, and I would like to fly it in stealthy shape. When I am in the cockpit I don’t see the underside of the wings anyway. But for the rest it is indeed a great package (haven’t bought it yet but tested it). Based on open sources, this is how the STOVL modes work in the real plane.

I agree, would you please reconsider this option... we're not going to be bringing back any ordnance anyway after making sure it gets delivered to the correct address. :pop4:

How bad could the shape or textures be ?
