Dino's F35 released!

Im not getting good FPS in the VC (around 7fps) - yet the L-39 is super smooth :salute:

In fact - when i first load the product it is over 20 fps but the moment I go into vc it drops to 7-9 fps and then stays that way even moving to external views again. Until i reload another version - then the same happens.

I going to have to mothball yet another product with mdf displays until my new PC :-(

Gajit,
I dont have this F-35 so I dont know what Pixel Size the VC have
have you tried to downsize the pixel size of the VC sections in Panel.cfg to for example 512 expirienced on other planes this method can help very much improving frame rate

Best Regards
Tom

please tell me how ....anything to improve the fame rates :)...also will it effect looks much ???

thanks

Hmmm what system do you have gajit?

A useless one that just cant cope with any MDF based VC.

One day I will be able to fly em all :salute:

I have only sp2 installed. Can someone tell if it works (Of course, with some error somewhere) with only sp2???

Obs: I have the IRIS f16 to alias the sound, and don´t use the default f18 sound.

Hello Tom,

Can you show a such modified version of the VC sections? This will help me and may be others. Thank in advance for your help.

Have a good day

Benoit

yep

since I don't have the F-35 I take an example from a Su-26 Panel.cfg

search for
[VcockpitXX] where XX is a number there can be more different VC Sections than in my example

look out for that line
pixel_size=xxxx
change the value if it is 1024,1024 to 512,512

[Vcockpit01]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=1
pixel_size=1024,1024 <----- change to 512,512
texture=$Su26

hope this explain what I mean

Best Regards
Tom

The manual says "Acceleration".

What a delightful plane to fly. I spent a wonderful couple of hours flying it tonight. Rock steady!

The manual says "Acceleration".

My question really was what features are associated with accel package besides the sound alias. Because if it can be used with only little issues, i sure will buy it too.
Perhaps, the author can say something about it?

EDIT: Never mind ...

Really different

Just did my first simple short flights. My pc is no champ but with mild weather and low or no autogen I can get along so better with no autogen, clear weather, and away from cities.

Definitely a keeper. Must study the manual, lol.

Great price !!!! Thanks Dino and all who worked on it. :applause::applause::applause:

Gonna have to add this F-35 to my Friday buy list. Need to test this puppy in the Arctic against my Super Bug and EF2000 this weekend. Looking forward to trying and enjoying your latest creation Dino:salute:

Just whipped out the plastic. Downloading now.
The quality of the F-35 alone is already well worth the price. To think that this will support Dino in keeping the T-45 and F-14 projects alive, it's like buy one, get two free! Can't think of a better deal in town. :ernae:

I don't even have FSX, and I'll be buying this beauty... :d

Hi Tom

Your excellent suggestion to change the values in the panel config file worked well for me with now 20 fps!! My thanks. If anyone wants to change theres - cut and past the info below.

Back up your old one first!!

I cannot tell the difference in the quality - see screen shot.

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Vcockpit01]

gauge00=f35!pfd, 10,100,1024,1050
//--------------------------------------------------------
[Vcockpit02]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=2048,1024
visible=1
pixel_size=512,512
texture=$F35MFD1

FSX SP2 compatibility

First, thanks a lot for your appreciation and support.
I am glad you like the F-35 :)

As for the SP2 compatibility... I can't tell - it is not using many Acceleration features, but still it has been compiled with the Acceleration SDK.
I had not tested the final build in SP2.
To me it is Acceleration ONLY as it is built on the Acceleration SDK.

Dino, I bought and tested the F-35 this evening
Great job sir! You delivered something special to the community and at a price that is excellent for the incredible level of detail delivered!

Thanks again!

Is anyone else seeing the afterburner effects bleeding through the rear of the aircraft somewhat?

Or is something buggered up with my FSX lighting (highly likely, I've not had proper wingtip lights for a good six months).
