Dino's F35 released!

Gentlemen

I think it may take a little while for the file to propagate through the servers... I've received a notification that the file was up and running roughly 45 minutes ago.
If the links don't work within few hours let me know and I'll see what I can do (or contact SimMarket directly).

The list of changes is as follows:

- Added wing vapor effect (the effect shows when G force is in excess of 4.5 g's). NOTE: In the previous release, the vapor effect was included for a mistake. In fact it was a provisional file which was a copy of team KBT's F/A-18E Super Hornet. My apologies to the authors.
-Added “whiskers” effect (the effect shows when the AoA is in excess of 25 degrees), as seen on real F-35 pictures.
-Added visual model with two external tanks + 2 JDAMs + 2 Sidewinders
-Fixed minor texturing problem with main gear tires
-Fixed (mock) gun rounds (internal gun has 180 rounds only)
-Fixed minor graphics glitch in the FUEL panel
-Optimized MFD rendering resolution
-Minor visibility condition oprimizations
-Fixed minor texturing problem with ejection gear handle
-Added different pilot face textures for different aircraft
-Fixed emergency landing gear system modeling
-Added alternate aircraft.cfg with incorrect landing gear contact points but no micro-oscillations
-Updated manual accordingly and fixed miscellaneous typos.

Note that the new effects seem to work only on DX9 (at least on my machine)....

Works Fine

Thanks Dino, the link works fine now. Installing as I write. Much appreciated.

Thanks Dino...Very nice update..

Can someone tell me how to get the gun effects to work..Thanks

One question regarding the fuel tanks, i see no difference in the fuel page with the two external tanks (neither in the fuel and payload page in the FSX menu). Is this intended or part of a future update?

After a clean install copy all textures in the texture.clean folder except for the F-35_fuselage_T.dds, F35a_tail_left_t.dds and F35a_tail_right_t.dds and paste them into the Texture.RNLAF3 folder. When prompted to overwrite select yes.

This should include the F-35ext_fuel_tank.dds file.

All should work now.
Hope this works for you

I will release an entire new pack including all my repaints with all different loads, including all sqns nozzle-covers. Release probably coming sunday or monday. Need to finish up on an RAF and RCAF livery first.

Yes - As I have to leave for a while for a businness trip, I've decided to release an update with all the minor improvements I did in the past few weeks.

In detail:
- Emergency tailhook animation and geometry redone (should be closer to the real thing...or at least to my interpretation of the photos circulating on the internet... afaik, no clear images are publicly available at the moment I am writing)
- Vapor and whiskers effects redone - now they are less bulky and look better IMHO
- Afterburner effects redone - longer flame in stage 2 and much longer flame in stage 3...also better color and less bleeding
- Removed the big antenna from the top surfaces for "operational" model (such antenna does not show on the real AF-3, which is the first plane with complete mission systems... probably is replaced with an internal one)

Also, Neutrino has made some tweaks to the VHUD.

...and I've noticed that there was a minor texturing mistake nearby the fuel receptacle - now fixed.

So, it is not much of an upgrade but I hope you guys appreciate it!

Update 115

Thanks Dino for update 115, installed and ready for the shake down flight.
