Dissappearing engine sounds?

I've got my engine sounds in MAW and other conversions disappearing and coming round again! What can cause this?

Poorly trained mechanics? Water in the gas?

Seriously, have you noticed loss of sound in other applications which would suggest sound card or driver problems.

Run the BDP Nuker utility... or use Windows Find tool to locate all files with extension .bdp in the expansion you're having bother with and just delete them manually. I had a lot of bother with new sounds recently until I deleted the .bdp file for the aircraft in question. The sim will rebuild them all on starting up.
