Hey great to see my ol do 335 is still being used. Heck I have about 25 new liveries for it too, I will have to up load them to you guys.

I have an other do 335 2 seater here , After the Rata I wonder if i should work on that one and finish it... it has all the new bells ans whistles and kinda leans towards fsx, so... what do you think?
Would you guys use it?

Woody, good to see you on the forum...baby must be asleep.

Would we use a two seater DO335? Do bears poop in the woods? Heck yes!!!!!

Got a question for ya...I took the MDL for the FS2004 version of the DO335, the one on Flightsim.com that is in three packages, and used Martin Wright's MDLmaterial to change the color of the canopy glass from blue to gray...looks more glass/plexi like now. Would you mind if I uploaded that file to the library here?

Great aircraft, can never have too many REPAINTs. Being a FS9 user I am not picky about new stuff - for FS9 and/or FX.... thanks for your fine work and thanks again!! Do 335 hoo ra.

The tweaked MDL file, with the blue canopy glass replaced with light gray, has been uploaded to the FS2004 Other section. While I was at it, I also did the same tweak for the CFS2 version and uploaded that file to the CFS2 Other section.

The package on Simviation.com, the one for FS2004 and CFS2, is a huge package. 170meg. At downloading that size of a package with the 30K limit takes a LOOOOOOONG time. If all you want is the FS2004 version, go to Flightsim.com and do a search for SimTech. The package there is a 3 part download, consisting of Plane, Panel, and Gauges.

Yup, and bananabob's prop replacements as well.

Really? A Bananabob prop for this plane? Under his name, or part of a pack somewhere?

I've reïnstalled her with one of the paints from Morton, but that has a CFS2 prop in it...

I'd love to get the Bananabob-prop for that!

The new model, the new paints for her (and the prop) are a very very nice rejuvenation of this fine plane!

Interested in your other liveries however, I am using the final FS9 version with your
FSX FIX (portover). Do you have the two seater avail for FSX portover as well?

The most recent iteration of the DoDo with 6 paints is on the CR-1 website as Donationware. Note that it is still the same model with enhancements as listed

Tom never finished/released the FS9 two-seater and while he has the source files he has no current plans to distribute it. Working as a mostly one-man shop I wouldn't expect him to push out a vast number of new models in a short period, but you never know what might appear in the future (although his current feeling is that any future releases would be FSX-only)

I started flying the Do-335 again last evening after a long hiatus and found a few things that needed tweaking, namely the eyepoint (it was too far back) and the exterior nav, and beacon lights positions (way off). The pic shows the light positions as they are currently and I've pasted the "Lights" section of the aircraft cfg file. Why are there so many entries for an airplane that has so few lights?

The latest Donationware Do-335 offering from CR-1 is an updated model with a clear canopy and the lights on that version work properly. CR-1 will accept any amount for donation and it is for an excellent cause. It's definately worth it IMO, and all of the older skins will fit the updated model, including Morton's excellent repaints for the CFS2 Arrow.

@falcon409 I see in your screen above that you use the model with the green/blue canopy. There is an updated model somewhere with transparent canopy that I use for my package. Greets Andi
That particular repaint came with it's own lo-vis mdl file and since I don't know what material was changed to make the glass transparent, I opted not to mess with it, hence the green canopy glass. I have the corrected mdl file for the other livery.

Yep, I'm aware of the updated model, but for me, at this particular time, any donation for anything other than food on the table and gas in my car is not being considered. I'll work on what I have with the current version of the 335.:salute:

What I need is a brief explanation of what each of the position numbers refers to (up, down, left & right, fwd & aft. . . .which number performs which function)?
