DoA beta testing...

To all,

Kdriver has been doing a remarkable job beta testing the Defense of Australia missions for me, but I would like to perhaps get one or more people to put these missions through the wringer.

I'll be forwarding the dynamic campaign in a couple of days once I get the hang of it.

Sc7500,

I know you're looking for things to keep you occupied, Devildog and I both have missions and campaigns for you to beta test.

Please remember, feedback is critical! :engel016:

Thanks,

:bump:

Also, some good news. I contacted the authors about gaining permission using the e-mails given on the RAAF credits page, and the e-mails were not immediately bounced back, which hopefully means that they're still active and will be read...

Okay, guys...

The campaign length for the Australian side of DoA will be twenty-two missions. There are actually twenty-nine missions for the Australian side, but seven of the mission days overlap, so the missions flown on those days will be determined by either random chance or your performance on previous missions.

I'm still not sure how I want to work in Talon's DoA carrier missions. I may make a separate mini-campaign out of that...

To all,

With feedback from beta testers, the Defense of Australia pack is nearing its completion. Talon has provided additional missions, so you actually begin fighting on March 10th, 1942 from the decks of the Lexington and Yorktown, located in the Coral Sea. He did a total of seven missions, four of them you're guaranteed to fly, and the other three are relegated to random chance.

Hopefully when the downloads are restored toward the end of the month, all of the bugs will have been ironed out and we'll be ready to go.

I've also decided to create two campaign files, one with the USN carrier missions and the other without, in case you don't want to get your feet wet! :mixedsmi:
