Just because I wanted to have this livery, I did a repaint depicting the Mustang IV "Dooleybird", based on the better than excellent paintkit by John "Bomber_12th" Terrell.

As I expect most FSX users will fly the superb Warbirdsim P51 or the A2A Accumssimed version P51, I uploaded the repaint in the FS9 section. But these textures will of course also work on the Shockwave/WOP/A2A P51 after the FSX native 1.2 update.

I hope the above makes some sense.....

Cheers,
Huub

Very nice Huub! by the way, what scenery is that, I really like the look of the control tower.

Thanks Roger. The screenshots are taken in my highly modded version of Golden Wings (FS2004) and the scenery is North Pickenham by Brian Clarke and John Young. Its avaiilable at Avsim.

Cheers,

Very nice, Huub, I've always loved that scheme!

Thanks for the nice words! As said its mainly your magnificent paint kit. When you compare it to the plastic model kit which made this aircraft famous, Shockwave/A2A has the role of Matchbox and created the model, you (John) did a magnificent paint job and I didn't more than just put the decals in place :biggrin-new:

Cheers,
Huub
