There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Yep...already pulled it back to 240...Pure black or white is always problematic with spec maps (that's why I never use it as a base color for fuselages). Try 235, 235, 235.
Appears so. I haven't heard from him re them since he'd done such a great job on the linework and rivets...)Matt is still working on the default liveries and decals, right?
This is a known problem and there is a fix for it over at Flight1 in their free downloads section.

Yep, my mistake!Stop. The model is FSX native and does not support FS9's rain system. Hence, the F1 rain fix will do zilch.
I'm using a custom, static rain texture for representing rain on the canopy, which is included in the latest version of the model.
Note: If the texture is present, but still not showing and you're running DX10 mode, you're out of luck as I can't support DX10.
Dave...when Bjoern was releasing updates of his model reworking to become FSX native one of the updates included VC rain effects which also required the use of the included bitmaps for the texture.shared folder of the L39. I hadn't added those images to my install so things went screwy in the rain.I've lost the plot here. The Nemeth BK117 is also FSX native.. it's their latest model!! The F1_fsx.vcrainfix fixed the problem with that. I don't see where FS9 rain effects comes into it. I don't run DX10 either.
Never mind.. I'm sure you know what you're talking about
