VH-ANQ [cn:3271] [sn:41-7686] was built as a DC-3-384 but impressed as C-49-DO at Douglas Aircraft, Long Beach, California in January, 1941. Delivered to the USAAC at San Antonio, Texas - February, 1941.

Arrived Brisbane (Archerfield) on delivery to 5th Air Force - September, 1942. Allocated to 374th Troop Carrier Squadron with radio callsign 'VHCDG', named 'Mucky Minnie'.

Delivered to CAC at Fisherman's Bend for transport conversion - January, 1943 and allocated to No 36 Squadron, RAAF...
