Down and Dirty brick update

This got me thinking this morning of flying the Phantom in ol sim Flight of the Intruder... radar would get all snowy when the nose got below the horizon.

Been getting reacquainted with model design since I have time off between contracts...Finally figured out FFD in MAX/GMAX and my hulls are looking smoooth now... Might have to revisit carrier building Vietnam era for this release.

my dad was on the Kittyhawk working on the Lead Sled, but the story he would tell bout it, the more i fell in love with the brick. so if you could do a Pilotible Kittyhawk, (with solid elevator and a empty hanger deck.) i would be in heaven.

Any chance of an E/F variant? Pretty please. :jump:

Hehehe... and so it begins.

Yeah love em all guys...hope A2A is able to bring us as much as possible. This is going to be another one of their great releases... just even better than the last.

A2A is the Pixar of FS payware. :icon_lol:

Our Diesels are still flying? Thought they were already phased out a long time ago. At least I haven't seen one in a while coming from Laage.:isadizzy: :kilroy:

Do you work at Coningsby? my mate was just telling me about these and how him and his fire crew were being taught how to shut them down, its nice to see some pics of them though! They said they couldn't understand a word of the German crews English too!

my Phantom obsession is deep rooted, saw RF-4's as a kid in greece, and now my right shoulder is adorned with the 'spook' forever there as a reminder of this wonderful aircraft and the fun times i had as a kid watching them :ernae:

As the last fighter wing JG-71 Richthofen in Wittmundhaven will use them until 2012.

The animations look superb. I'm very much looking forward to this one.

Nah, these were just taken from the fence. I did spend a short period in the RAF but left after 6 months. I do know two of the people on my course got posted to Coningsby just last week though, so their first task may well have been to play around with a German aircraft!

And yes, Bjorn, as you can see, they're still very much alive and well. As far as I know, as Antoninus said, JG71 are still flying them at Wittmundhafen and this particular one was from WTD61 at Manching (flight test squadron, I think). They're also still operational in Greece, Israel, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, and maybe a couple of others that I've forgot. Long may it continue!

Yep, Manching has the LW's flight and weapons test department. They could be the last ones to fly the Rhino in this country.

lets just go ahead and make the good old american model F-4's....I'd hate to get some RAF or Greek F-4, and no C or D models in there

The USA used E's, did they not? ;)

And from what I've seen, unless I'm much mistaken, it does seem to be the earlier Phantom varients that are being modelled. There's just a lot of people hoping there'll be some of the later ones to go with it aswell. After all, the export varients are the ones still in service!

Maybe so Tweek, maybe so ;)

But...A2A quality...possibly Accusim...what a better way to say thank you than to honor this guy,
