Download third-party aircraft

Hi, how can I download playable third-party aircraft in combat flight simulator 2 because whenever I put the third party aircraft in my aircraft tolder, it wouldn't appear in game

Have you looked at your 3rd party planes "sound"-maps? Most of the time they are empty and then the plane won't show. Overwrite the sound map in your 3rd party plane with a standard (Microsoft) one and when you get the question if you would like to overwrite the "sound-cfg" say YES. Normally your 3rd party plane should appear now.

Each CFS2 aircraft will have 4 folders and a .air file, a .cfg file and a .dp file. The folders are logically titled; the model folder, the panel folder, the sound folder, and the texture folder.

Ah yes but are they aliased to an aircraft that is in your CFS2 folder that has sound files? Alternatively, I have occasionally found a third party download that has a corrupted set of sound files and so won't load. That might be the case for you. Can you replace the sound files with an aliased sound file from one of the stock CFS2 aircraft to see if it fixes the plane not showing up?

Ok you misunderstand. What aircraft is it that won't show up? That would be very helpful.

I am suggesting there maybe an issue with the sound files provided with the aircraft. I am suggesting removing that sound file temporarily and replacing it with a stock aircraft sound file to see if the plane will then show up. That will tell us if that is the issue. If the plane still will not show up then we will need to check something else. Give it a try and then report back.

DLed the BUNKER HILL campaign and the included the KWCFS2_F9F2 is being aliased to the stock FS2000 Lear45. I think this may be the problem and you need the CFS2 KOREAN WAR PACK 1: THE AIRCRAFT 3.8 Mb download that has the Lear45 sounds.

Judging by the "NOTE: PACK 1 & PACK 2 are common to all our Korean War campaigns." on the page you will also need the CFS2 KOREAN WAR PACK 2: KOREA 3.8 Mb

I had a look at the Toko Ri mission. The sound files for the F9F2 are provided. Do you have USS_Stennis_CVN74 installed?

You also need the Ludendorff Bridge which is provided but not installed. Its BGL file and textures go in the SCENEDB/inf scenery and texture folders. Its DP goes in the OBJECTs_DP folder.

The Hainan-Dao mesh is also needed but this shouldn't stop the mission from loading.
