Since this was done a while ago I have been updating some of the planes.The Corsairs have upgraded airfiles.I have also redone some of the loadouts on some of the planes to make them more historical.Upgrades include using some AvHistory weapons.

It's still a WIP but slowly it's getting done.
 
Coincidentally I've been reworking it all weekend to add the Win 7 Specular Shine modification. In most cases I've had to ditch the reflectance layer as they all just looked way too much like a mirror to be real combat aircraft.

One thing I've noticed is that the available weapons and the effects files don't seem to match up very well, but then I've added a fair number of additional period aircraft beyond the original DPC set-up, and that's most likely where it got off track. I just wish there was an easy way to merge the effects files for all the various mods into one master version.

Nice to see this one getting some attention again, lots of fun and can definitely benefit from all the improvements that have been made over the years. Does anyone know what became of the terrain update? I remember seeing pictures sometime ago where someone was adding in water to the scenery.

The Plane's look briliant, oddly enough I have just installed my Korean Skies, is there going to be a revamp of this addon
 
I did a load of skins for the Tigercat a while ago - if there are any which are suitable, feel free to mix them in!

Years ago while I was on the PTO/ETO Team we were going to improve MAW and Korean Skies but the original members of those addons basically said no to it.
 
I still smile when I see people talking about our work, and even more so when I see the work to improve it. Unfortunately the team kinda fell apart shortly after we released the beta, with a few moving onto the MAW team. Over the years since we release I've lost contact with all the other members of the Dogpatch Crew.

Keep up the good work, I for one will be looking forward to some new stuff.
 
Progess so far.

Corsairs have updated airfile and loadouts.

B26b Invaders have updated airfile and will now drop internal bombs.

Navy Skyraider has updated airfile and new loadouts.Marine Skyraider will be done also.

F86 "The Huff" updated airfile.Still working on the others.

F9F updated airfile and added Napalm to loadouts.

F51d USA updated airfile and loadouts.Still working on others.

One of the Napalm bombs was listed as a torpedo in the xpd and that is now fixed.

I haven't done the AI aircraft yet but will as time allows.Still alot of work to be done.

So far the fixed planes work very well in my test missions and in the Korean Campaigns.
 
What kind of air file changes are you making? Those jets never seemed to fly quite right to me.

Gecko all the F86s in Korean Skies basically have the same airfile.The F86: The Huff " was an F model and had more thrust so was faster than the A model.The Mig15 can still out climb and out turn you but this was true in real combat.The F86 had the advantage at low altittude while the Mig had the advantage at high altitude.
