DPC Korea "Hungnam Evacuation Missions"

rcafmad

Charter Member
This is the one Missions Pack that I have been unable to load in my DPC Korea add-on.

Please send me a PM on how you loaded it. I thought it was the "dpc_uss_wisconsin." She is loaded correctly because I was able to substitute it in another Mission and the Missions loaded.

I have all the required files listed in the writeup. One of the aircraft is the yak-9_u24 (Russia). The Missions where this aircraft is required shows "Other_Axis_Nations."

Would this cause the Mission not to load?

Any help would be apprecaited.:banghead:

rcafmad,
I'm no help with this.
I have tried to fly the mission before and never could. I just filed it as one of the missions not to install. lol

Hi Guys,
I just got to all of this.. Very sorry for the delay..

Mel, I have set these up to work..
I will check them closely, and crash a few more times..

Mike,
I could never allow a chance to work something out pass me by..:banghead:

I was building in DPC Korea, and Mel asked about these..
I was tied up and didn't have the chance to check this until now..

Wonderful missions, I wrecked several nice birds..:applause:
have a Look..

:wavey:Hey Mel; They all work for me, but I needed two ships, b_merchant2 & b_Tribal. With the exception of the locator mission, The're all night missions.:salute:

Hope this helps

Hey Owen How to you lighten em up?

:wavey:Hey Owen how did you lighten em up? I tried setting the time, but wind up starten up in the air.:isadizzy:

Success! After a little sleep and some good advice from you. I reviewed my writeup and found the problem.

The facility required was "be_military_radar_1". I didnot have it. The closest was "be_military_radar_small" that I used. All the Missions flew.

Could someone tell me where I could find the "be_military_radar_1" if needed?

I have been working on these a bit, The reason you always start in the air after you open them with the mission builder is; the Take off values are set outside of the mission builder..
You have to be sure to open them with notepad/Wordpad, and place the values> 0.00 for the speed and altitude..
Then they will start on the carrier..
These are nice missions, and I do enjoy Korea..

:salute: :salute: :salute:

When you start the Hungnam Evacuation F4U-4B mission there is the USS-Wisconsin that goes by fiering it's guns. I can't here them something must be missing in the sound.xml.

Brubaker Panther skin by Foo Fighter

Foo Fighter's Panther Skin Repaints:salute:

Just add these skins to your f9f texture folder. You will need to rename them as:
f9f_fuselage_t.dds... and so forth.
Do this for all of the files, preserving the t, r, wing, and fuselage name subdivisions. Remove the 1024 subdivision to use these lower res skins. Foos skins default to 2048.
I also built a .mos file to show canon, bullet and airframe damage. Only one mos can be used per plane so I built one for the fuselage. The model breaks at the empennage (tail) so this one will show in game. If you prefer wing damage, which can be easier to see from cockpit, let me know.
Also, I could not get the speedbrake holes to render transparent. I am not sure why. Maybe I am at to low a res or pixel width? That can effect bleed in noseart so I may look at that some more.
Foo Fighter included skins for Lee AND all blue skins with no bare metal wingroot/engine nacelle sections. Take your pick.
Backup your originals!
Squiffy.:salute:

There were a couple of 'em, Brubaker & Lee (CAG).

I'm about to upload a series of Dragonfly choppers and one of those will be from the Bridges at Toko-Ri.:wiggle:
