Dual HD & 2 operating systems on 1 comp?

Would it be possible to have 2 operating systems, each on their own hard drive with any drivers needed installed on both hard drives. The idea is to
run older games that will not run on newer OS's but could still be run on the other HD with (example) win98se, and have the other HD for (example) VISTA for the newer games.??? ckissling

actually it is possible to build a duel op system......I had one a couple of years back. The Best way to set up a duel boot system is to use tools like Partition Magic and Boot Magic. but you can use the Windows loader that comes with Windows.

If you use Win98 that will need to be installed on your first Hard drive and USE FAT32 system for that. then after installing Win98 install Partition magic and set the second disc up as FAT32 as well. Then install Boot Magic (which comes with PM) Then run Win XP install (a fresh copy) on to your D drive. Do not use upgrade or it will upgrade 98. After installing XP onto the D drive. After that go back into Windows 98 using boot magic and set it up to recognise the XP on the 2nd HD

That's the easiest way I can think of setting up a duel windows system

Also works good for setting up Linux on the box.

But remember what ever method you use......duel boot systems are tricky for beginners and even old computer hands to set up.

Thanks for the info,I think it's time to build a new comp and get rid of the
main bearing knock.ckissling

Just for information I run CFS 1,2 and 3 on a laptop with Vista. My only drawback is I don't have enough video card,or in my case chipset. Vista is very tweakable and will run like a champ with a small amount of effort.Download this tweakguide and read thru it and the mysteries of Vista vanish. http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html
