Duet Display app for iPad?

I would like to try to use my iPad as a small additional display to put the GPS on, or a Windows program like Little Navmap or Aivlasoft EFB. Or even to display approach charts. I was wondering if anyone has successfully used Duet Display or similar to achieve this?

I found this site that talks about using Duet Display with FSX. Hope this helps as I don't have any Apple products to try it out on.
