Duxford

Great photos Grumpos, thank you for sharing them with us! For continued information and photos on what is going on behind the scenes, at least on the TFC aircraft, check this site out: http://friends-of-tfc.blogspot.com/

It started up shortly before last summer's Flying Legends show, and I continually check the site at least once a week for updates on the projects, the inspections, and the flight activity if reported.

The Fw-190 is indeed a Flugwerk example, owned by Tom Blair, who stables his collection of aircraft in the UK and the US. The aircraft has yet to fly unfortunately, though with the upcoming year ahead I hope that some work can be done to finally get it in the air, especially since a French based example is likely to fly to Duxford for Flying Legends this summer, and perform during the show...what better than one, than to have two?

I'm about 55 mins from DX, so go there pretty regularly as we have press accreditation for UK Warbirds. Great shots, I think you covered the place very well. :applause:

It's great to see Sally B with her new No.1 engine, hopefully this one will be better than the last two engines which both failed in short order!

Thanks for the kind words folks. Its an absolutely cracking place, one which needs several visits in order to take in everything that they have.

Best wishes
Steve P

Great set of photos. The great thing about Duxford is the way that, because lots of it is active its always different everytime you go. I've been there 4 or 5 times now and theres always something new.

I think my next trip there will be in March for my advanced skin repairs BAPC training course so won't get to see much (although it does mean playing in the hallowed ground which is the restoration hangar! sadly only on test pieces, no real aeroplanes).
