Early Jets

Took one of my favorite early jets up for a hop from my local airport to Little Rock, Arkansas. This is the Aeroplane Heaven F9F Panther in the Blue Tail Fly paint scheme. I use the Real Old Salt panel and part of his flight model mixed in with the original AH flight model. It would get into bad shakes with the ROS flight model at high speed. So I used his a bunch of his flight envelope parameters on the original flight model and testing so far is pretty good. I was even able to get up to overspeed without the shakes on this flight.

Willy, when you're finished working on your flight model, can you post it here? I have similar problems to what you describe with the ROS model.

Tidy little model there, I do have a thing for early jets and the USN's early birds were nice, the Panther being one of them. My fave has to be the Banshee though, love that thing. Anything with straight wings from that era looks class to me. Cool screens!

Once I'm satisfied with the flight model, I'll upload it here. I've still got some more testing to do including carrier ops with it though.

Right now it's landing on a carrier deck almost as easy as the SOH F7F Tigercat. Just a little faster. Which is probably pretty close to correct.

Still have some concern with stall speeds being a bit low though.

That default carrier off of San Francisco is good for something though. :d
