• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Given the sudden interest in things Russian, I wonder if this is any use... Full set just uploaded.

There's this, as well. Utterly unrealistic since the Sovs didn't use them, but not implausible at all. Uploaded.

I might do a Finnish one, too - that's even more plausible. They were desperate for almost any aircraft they could get their hands on and skilled enough to get the best from them too. Except the Caudron...

Here's a list of Lend-Lease aircraft supplied to the Soviets:

Fighters
Bell Р-39 Airacobra 4,952
Hawker Hurricane 2,952
Bell Р-63 Kingcobra 2,421
Curtiss Р-40 2,134
Supermarine Spitfire 1,338
Republic Р-47 Thunderbolt 195
North American Р-51 Mustang 10

Bombers
Douglas А-20 Boston 2,771
North American В-25 Mitchell 861
Handly-Page HP. 52 20

Flying boats
Consolidated PBN-1 138
Consolidated PBY-6A 48
Vought OS2U Kingfisher 20

Observation aircrafts
Curtiss O-52 Owl 19

Transport aircrafts
Douglas С-47 Dakota 707

Training aircrafts
North American АТ-6 Teksan 82

A quick check of the Archives shows that where we already have these aircraft in CFS3 most of these have been covered.

:kilroy:Nigel, I just downloaded your new splash screen set. I really hate to tell you this, but the common_screens folder in the uires folder is empty. No *.BMP files there at all. There are no splash.bmp and splash_notext.bmp. Only the splash24b.bmp is there, in the cfs3 root folder.:d

Oh bugger. I'll put up a new one. In any case, it's actually the same image three times over, so if you've got one, in fact you've got the lot. Just copy and rename.
