Allen,

I put a thread in the staff forum, I hope to hear back very soon. I would have done it earlier today, but the Patriots were on, and watching the game over wings, beer, and pizza kinda took precedence, I'm afraid. :wiggle:

Yeah, Da Bears weren't pretty, but they got the job done against the Lions in Detroit.
All I was interested in was the Bears eliminating the Giants, which they did.

If only the Packers had won........

Ickie reset your permissions, you should be all set.

Devildog,

The Bears were sitting in their locker room after the game, and one of the Chicago players described how unnerving it was to utter the words "Go, Pack. Go!"

I heard this morning the Chicago coach was canned after a 10-6 record. I guess not making the playoffs did him in after nine seasons. Ouch! :jump:

Yeah, Lovie was just too loyal to his QBs. He kept Grossman way too long. He traded consistently bad for consistently inconsistent, Cutler.
Lovie should have stayed a Defensive Coordinator where he shined. OR, the George Hallas family should have spent the money and gotten a real Offensive Coordinator and a couple of quality QBs.

Hey, maybe Brady is tired of NE!!!????

A log out than log back in fixed it. Now I'm trying to get my head around Airport 2.60...

It is used for adding runways that you can take off from in freeflight. Flaten areas and some other things. I'm not sure how much it can/can't do yet.

Allen,

I just wanted to check and see how your install is coming along...:wavey:

Holding pattern...

I got the scenery in. I tried to make a texture polygon in Airport 2.60 but it dosn't seem to work (no polygon can bee seen in CFS2). The area flaten and AFD so that the airfield was listed in free flight did. I may get FSSD since MaskRider Blended Airfield Tutorial is here at SOH. FSSD may work better for me. This way I can blend the airfield better to the scenery than just planting a basic runway on top of the scenery.

I can't even plant a basic runway via GSL on top of the scenery anyway. The stock runways are .5 feet+ too high and if I move the ground up the runway start flickering (CFS1 runways flicker too.) So a BGL based runway is need and I should be albe to do a grass masking to blend over the scenery and the runway it self on the same textured polygon. Unless some one knows a better way.

Holding pattern is because that my mod of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 1, Red Dawn is calling me back. I'm lead developer, coder, tester AKA I do ever thing almost. However the C&C community has/is very helpfull to me along the way. It has came to my attention that CnC Net now supports RA1 mods and I'm now headlong in developing a online only version.

Since RA1 has freeware/abandonware since 2008 community been decoding and update the engine. I now I'm finding my self behind on all of the update made to geting online play back and make it more stable than it was back in 1998.

Since I got the basic CFS2 Euro scenery done I thought is would be a good stopping point so I can get Red Dawn Online done than I can move back to CFS2 and start learing FSSD. I'll still be around but not doing any work on CFS2 unless I hit a major bump with Red Dawn Online.

Allen,

Forgive me for being ignorant, but I don't understand why you don't just use the airfields and scenery already created. :isadizzy:

I use three programs for my airfields.

Groundmaker is the first. I use that to make the ground poly and for my roads around the field.

next i use FS Scenery creator. I use that to make the Fuel areas and add a poly for the fuel ground texture.

Last i use the mkafd. I use that to add the airfield data that CFS2 needs to reconize the field. that gives the -AFD and -RW .bgls from my scenery.

I could just use FSSC and MKAFD but i want a different look for the grass fields.

Try the FSSC. you can even use the APIs and micros.

i tried messing with Airport and wasn't able to get it to work either. the import function doen't handle multiple imports. it overwrites the first every time.

Rami: I think they are all nice but I'm looking for a nice and simple setup. They have to many objets I have to run all over to find and get. I want to remake all of the CFS1 airfields (adjustments need to be made for rivers and roads that are in the CFS2 euro scenery.) Use as many stock objets as I can. Than go looking for other or learn how to make my own.

Blood_Hawk23: I'm interested in any thing your willing to share. I know nothing about FS Scenery Creator as I haven't even got it yet and didn't even know about a Groundmaker. I'm just tring to remake the CFS1 airfields so I need a grass masking to blend over the scenery and a better runway than GSL based.

CFS1 that has grass overlay but has a clear patten issue...

CFS2 No overlay and bad GSL Runway that needs to be replaced....

Allen,

I simply can't fathom that, because once you download them once, you never have to again. But anyway...

Have you considered these?
