Easy european install?

It's not too hard. I lifted the basic idea from Maskrider.

First load you project in Groundmaker. Move and zoom tell the whole square/rectangle ploy is on the screen. Now hit the print screen key by F12.

Next look in the Propties than Mapping. If your poly is square you don't need to do this but since we are working with a rectangle we need to know the mapping. You don't need to print screen it, just remimber what it looked like.

In you photo edior hit paste. This should paste your print screen of Groundmaker. In PSP for me I use the selection tool to drag a rectangle around the outside of the poly.

Now copy the selection Ctrl+C/Edit - Copy.

Time to resize. Since this a rectangle poly and it is wider than it is tall we are going to make it 1024 pixals wide or close as possable.

After the resize you have the needed screen shot to use to make your poly texture. Here as new DirtRoad.bmp. Place this in the Bray-Dunes texture folder. DXT3 lets you make blended alphas with out color loss...

well no joy. i had everything set but when i added the Alpha it went to a 1024x1024 and got all messed up. I'll have to leave it for now. that took me nearly three hours and nothing to show for it. bummer.

that road looks nice btw. you did a better blending job. i just need to fix those intersections in my layout. i'll have to play with it abit.

yup i have it and i did save it as a dxt3. for what ever reason it went to at 1024x1024. which is wierd because the last one i tried didn't do that. maybe when i sent the alpha back from the editor i did some thing wrong.

i have to fix the roads. it didn't come out the way i wanted. i might have to go to solid textures instead of the dirtroad we are using.

i'll change the texture and send it so you can see. i can do it right now because i'm a little too excited. just got some real good news and i'm hoping it will lead to a new career. I passed the ACT exam for an apprenticeship program. i dont have the scores yet. but i got the invite for the open house. God willing, I can get it. of coarse that means my CFS2 time will be down to nothing. can't have it all.

Some times DXTBmp has a hard time with Refreash Alpha. If it not working best to close it and restart it.

I can't speek for roads as I've never used them.

Good Luck!

Rami ....

Allen,

Forgive me for being ignorant, but I don't understand why you don't just use the airfields and scenery already created. :isadizzy:
