Small steps...
Got moved out of the stroke ward and into rehab today so now the goal is to get thrown out of the hospital :icon_lol:

Apparently the plan is 3-4 hours of physical, occupational (there's a course in Grumpy????) and recreational rehab per day, BUTTTTT if I'm good I can earn day-parole or even a weekend pass!!!!!!:kilroy:

So now all i have to do is upgrade the 30% strength and control in my right side to 95% and declare victory. Since it's gone from zero to 30% in a week, it'll be a snap!

Hey! I just tried that!!!! I can snap my fingers on mt right hand!!:applause: (lol --small steps)

Thanks for being here and giving my mind some exercise

Rob

I have a hard time trying to snap my fingers too.

Glad to hear that you're doing better!

hey rob,
good to see youre on the mend, but I will keep them Good Thots going your way.
Obey the nurses...okay, try not to bite them...

Hang in and Take It Easy.

best

Welcome back Rob.

As you said, "small steps." Every goal oriented manager I know says to set small goals that are easily achievable, as you do that you feel you are making progress quicker ... ;)

If you set your goals too high, and then don't achieve, then you get despondent and depressed, and then you lack the drive to continue in your efforts.

Good News! :applause:

Glad to hear you are responding well Rob. Now comes the hard part, being 'patient' with your recovery. As the Tragically Hip song goes "an inch an hour, two feet a day".

Best Regards, Rob:ernae:

Hey Rob , that is great news . Put everything you have into your rehab(Been there and done that).
It very beneficial and much worth the effort . Glad your recovery is moving along nicely .
