Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated Tom Clayton has offered to post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Enforced FS Break:-(

So glad your surgery was a success. Guess you'll have some physical therapy in your near future. Hope all goes well for you!

Glad all is going well Dougal. May your recovery be speedy and graceful.

Thanks All. And Matt..... I've never done anthing "gracefully" in my life, and dont plan on starting now:wiggle:
My jump instructor told me "Eddie The Eagle could jump with more grace than you son"!!!! Only his language was a tad more colourful tha that;-)

Now, about the nurses ?:adoration:

Great to see you posting Dougal:wavey: Every time I see your avatar I think of Emma's dad, Brian. Great days of the Magic Roundabout!

Posted this over at Avsim, but same applies...

About 6 weeks on from last opp and had final MRI and CT scans this week, after swelling finally reduced enough. Doc said, and I quote... "Looks like we probably managed to remove the whole obnoxious mass this time".

Although he was optimistic last time too, and I really don't like the word "probably", it does sound and feel very promising indeed:) I'm a long way from recovERED, still suffering pain that's driving me nuts, and still have some odd motor function issues, but I am recoverING, and would like to thank each and every one of you, for your words, your wishes and your prayers. They all meant a great deal, and touched my heart. Seems they ALSO touched my brain it seems;-)))) Still be a month or two at least b4 any simming. Typing this was hard enough;-)

All in all though, things have gone FAR better than me and my family could EVER have hoped for! Thanks again guys n gals!!!!

I certainly good news dougal. I hope this trend continues on and you make a full recovery soon. Chin up!

It is indeed good news to hear that things are progressing well. Hopefully, you will have a full recovery.
