Epic LT; Generation 2; Released

Now, for those having gray spinners (if more then one has this), and you are in FS2004, make sure you have Aircraft has Reflective Surfaces' ticked 'on'.

Ok.. Here is a nice heads up. If you are tired of the click sounds and the girls lovely voice, to turn them off, simply take out and hide the FBGS Gauge file from the main Gauges folder in FS.

:d

Sorry.. I couldnt resist. I had struggled with the thought of complaints from people not liking the voice system after a while and there was, (to me) no way to turn it off (besides going back to the old AP file/gauge). But taking out the FBGS file does sound much easier and convenient. Anseres that question, for me anyways.

No Sound

Hi Bill,

First of all, no apologies are required. We all get more for the money than we deserve.

I still have no sound. I have downloaded both of the sound files. The GaugeSound.dll is in the main FSX folder and the XML is in the gauges folder.

What is the "sound mute" switch which is next to the autopilot switch for? I have tried it in both positions with no effect.

Thanks for your support,

Tom

Hey Tom,

The Sound Mute is a fake switch, used for shutting off headset voices in the cockpit in the actual Epic aircraft.

Well, I wonder what it is that could be causing this.

Bill

Hey Rick, you have the early version then that first came out. An easy way to update it, is to copy/paste the Widescreen panel config file from the FS9 version and paste it into the FSX Wide Screen panel folder.

Bill

I'm using the FS9 version, Bill

Bill, I'd like to apologize for causing you to look into a non-existent problem. I had a problem a while ago with a graphics card hiccup and had turned off reflections in my troubleshooting. Some how I neglected to turn it back on. I am again sorry for any trouble.

She is really beautifull now and I'm going to fly her to Las Vegas right now.

No Sound - Fixed

Bill,

I deleted the Epic file from FSX Sim Objects, re-downloaded the Epic file and reinstalled. All working okay.:applause:

Only thing different is that all of the Epic planes are now located in the "unknown" file when you go to change aircraft.

Thanks for all of the support,

Tom

Thank You Bushpilot:medals::icon29: In route from Prince Edward Is to the Larry's Pad for a Canadian Interior fitting.

You're welcome mate, glad you like it:ernae:. At one point I was fiddling with matching red/white interior but it looked way too flashy for my tastes so I decided to go with more subtle version.

I had struggled with the thought of complaints from people not liking the voice system after a while and there was, (to me) no way to turn it off (besides going back to the old AP file/gauge). But taking out the FBGS file does sound much easier and convenient.

You should tell them to turn their speakers off, it's much more faster and convenient way

. I don't understand some people, the new sound system is just too cool, who would want to turn it off:isadizzy:

Larry Green did a Canadian Interior for the Epic, I just have to wait for him to let me know which paint of his has it and which files I need to copy and move. Should have the CCG Epic landed in Yellowknife sometime tonite to hanger with the CCG Kodiak. My USCG ones hang out in Key West.

Epic LT v 1.7 gen 2

Bill,
Can you tell me if the new version has been uploaded to PC Aviator yet. If so do you know how to get it through them.

Finally got to do a short hop yesterday. New gauges nearly doubled my framerates in FS2004. Awsome, thanks again Bill!

:applause:

Lionheart this XM Radio is wild. I need to learn how to do my own tunes. Love the AP system. Thank You and all paints and interiors are fully working.:medals:

If anyone wants to add my Canadian themed interior here is the 'meat' from an email I sent to Tim....

Regarding the Canadian themed interior for the Epic, I did that as part of my fictional Canadian Forces SAR paint (the yellow/red one) and it does not exist as a standalone download like the USCG one (that was done to change the interior of Sean Doran's USCG paint). If you really want my interior the best thing I can suggest is that you download my SAR paint from here.....

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/index.php?lloc=downloads&loc=downloads&page=info&FileID=13022#picture

(BTW that DL does work as I just tested it)

.....and then copy and paste the following files from my SAR texture folder into 'Bushpilot's' Canadian CG texture folder:

Epic_Accessories_T.dds (this file is optional as it has the yellow/red luggage)
Epic_InstPanelLH_L.dds
Epic_InstPanelLH_T.dds
Epic_InstPanelRH_L.dds
Epic_InstPanelRH_T.dds
Epic_Interior2_T.dds
Epic_Interior3_t.dds
Epic_Interior_t.dds
PantsMale.dds
ShirtMale.dds
texture.cfg (this file is only needed if it doesn't already exist in the new Canadian CG texture folder)

You should then have my interior in 'Bushpilot's' repaint.

Hey would someone please send the USCG LC-130 to pick me up. I ran outa fuel at the North Pole and took a wrong turn at Yellowknife. Lionheart she landed gracefully on the Ice, a bit fun to taxi although.

Hehe looks great:ernae:, If I remember correctly the northernmost Ice Station has a submarine, maybe they can pick you up:bump:. I once flew there from Alaska with DC-3, took forever and then some:icon_lol:
