Eric 'Winkle'Brown's Airacobra

Thanks for the great work Allen!

I have to admit that while building the very few missions that the Tuskegee Airmen flew in Qs, I really enjoyed the flight dynamics of the aircraft.

I will have to see if the SopwithC's skins for the TA Campaigns work on your Q model and if they do, replace those in the Campaign with yours.

DDog

Rami,

Since I don't have/won't have my big PC for probably months, could you check and see if Allen's will work in the Tuskegee Airmen Campaigns and make the mod if it works out?

The texture will work fine with renaming and a quick edits. The edit is needed for the under wing 50 cal. The pink arrow show the spot to add the needed gray. Also the info is in ReadMe.

Thanks Allen, but There are a exelent P-39Q for years with breaking parts, uploaded .It is the 1% team. 1RU_P-39Q-10.zip http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=148&sort=d&page=3&pp=20 But the exelent P-63A-10 is not breaking parts, and so not damage parts, and It has the gear slow in menú panel like olds models. Can you make a replace model for this P-63 "static"?. It is similar to P-39 but it is not simetric, It has a air cooling sistem or some think like that in one wing, a more big engine and the nose I do not remember if it was more big.

Maxstuka the 1% P-39Q has no working VC and has mirrored textures. Also we can't use take to make a new P-39Q or update the model in anyway as AvHistory is claiming copyright on the edit of the stock model.

For this reason your work is the best replacement for 1% P39q, Thanks!.
The point that I talk ,It is that the 1% team use some many models of others autors, I do not remember the creator name of the P-63 but I am sure that It was not make by 1% team.

The P-63 was, however, a generally new design, featuring little parts commonality with the P-39. The P-63 was slightly longer than the P-39, with the most distinctive recognition feature being that the trailing edge of the rudder on the P-63 was straight, while it was rounded on the P-39; the P-63's tailfin was also taller. Another distinctive recognition feature was a four-bladed prop. Other changes were subtler. The wingspan and wing area were increased, and the wing featured the new "laminar" airfoil configuration established by NACA. More importantly, the P-63 was powered by an Allison V-1710-93 engine with a second supercharger stage -- not a turbocharger, as indicated in some sources -- giving it good high altitude performance. It appears that the P-63, just as with the XP-39E, was originally slated to be powered by the Continental V-1430 engine, which as noted was a nonstarter.

Readme !!.

Tim Piglet Conrad is the autor of P-63A10 and get permisión tu 1% team for use his model. So I sure that Piglet can get permisión to you like to 1% team to get the best way for his model.

Readme file for BELL P-63A KINGCOBRA, CFS2 version.
Thanks for downloading this plane!
The Bell P-63 Kingcobra was the follow up to their P-39 Airacobra series. Although similar looking, the P-63 was a totally new aircraft; with a laminer flow wing, supercharging, and increased cannon ammo. Despite it's improvements, the P-63 never lived up to the level of the P-51, Corsair, or other late-war front line fighters. The P-63 never saw combat in USAAF squadrons. Most of the 3300-odd planes went to the Soviet Union, where their service record is largely unknown. Another 300-odd planes went to the Free French squadrons, seeing WW2 and Viet Nam action.
Installation:
Make new Folder in your CFS2\Aircraft folder, label it P-63A
After downloading the zip, locate it, using your Computer Explorer, Winfile, etc. Double-click on it and extract the file to your P-63A folder.Everything should end up in the right place/folder.
Copy the textures into the Sim's Texture folder.
Read the readmeFAB file for installing the FAB-250 bomb files. No need to modify the plane's .dp, it's ready to go.
If you already have my AN-2T, no need to install the FAB-250 files again
Many thanks to FiXXXer, for his FAB-250 file work.
Enjoy!

P-39D-1 Airacobra.zip

383714047690975201.jpg

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - American

Description: The P-39D-1 was a production variant fitted with a 20 mm cannon in place of standard 37mm cannon specifically for delivery under Lend-Lease. Other then the cannon change it was the same as the P-39D. The P-39D-1 was also much like the Airacobra IA used by the RAF and US as the P-400.

Features many animated parts. Breaking parts plus damage texture logics as well. Model is Multi LOD with working virtual cockpit.

...except it's not a trike, which was the point of the thread.:dispirited:

Still, this also wasn't too shabby for someone "late to the party"...

It was actually Eugene Ely, note the tricycle gear

Stands by his Curtiss pusher biplane, just before taking off from USS Pennsylvania (Armored Cruiser # 4) to return to land, 18 January 1911.
Earlier in the day he landed on the ship's deck, the first time an airplane had alighted on a warship.
Pennsylvania was then at anchor in San Francisco Bay, California.

I think the P-39D-1 was not wearing Radio box back. Thanks for the another varian!. And the P-63? hehehehe hehe.:a1310:

As base model maybe not but P-39s were offten a make up of spare parts from many P-39s and updated as time went on. This pic of "Air a cutie" dose show a box.

View attachment 10038

Also note she doesn't have main gear doors. This is something that happen to may PNG based aircraft but I did not model in.

The P-63 is vary low on my plan of things.

This is a exptional example, the D-1 is a early versión of p-39 and the mayority has not this radio box like OH b-24 guy P-39D.Some P-39D last series upgrade with radio, but the D-1 is very rare ,because the armament was obsolete to get it. If you can delete this radio box , the model will be better for many repaint of the operational years.

About P-63 it is ok, the only that I do is talk about the chance of reworks models of 1% team because some many models were made by others autors.

:encouragement:
I am enjoing your exelent J2M3 raiden,This model is one of the best that I use because the raiden get a plus to the japan side in cfs2, It mach with George but It has betters caracteristics for altitud.

If you can make a update with damage textures, add a engine break like stock George and move the center point of the model like stock Microsoft in form to see "armonic" in the menú of aircraft selection. You will realize a dream.

Thanks for your two P-47, Very destructibles!.:adoration:

The D-1 was the 3rd most produced model. Only the latter N and Q models had more and they were in the thousands. The armament wasn't obsolete but maybe the best as the 37mm would jam after only to 1 or 3 shots. This was not fix tell the N and Q models. Some pilots would ditch the 37mm for the 20mm soon as a P-39D-1 or P-400 was sent to the scrap yard.

Q version is ok to port radio box, I do not like use in D series. So I delete this radio box and use the model more happy for russian, british or USA. This radio is only for Usa in pacific.
