Error Msg with ETO Backup and BDP Zapper

Barnstorm

"Molon Labe"
Greetings Everyone....
I have not been to this forum nor in the cockpit for several months, like since around Thanksgiving time. With my Mom under Hospice care and me in the middle of a FUBAR divorce...well, 'nuff said. Today, I finally got some time to fire-up ETO and started by trying to run the BDP Zapper. Got the error msg:

"The Procedure Entry Point Accessible Object from Event could not be located in Dynamic Link Library OLEACC.dll" Same for when I tried to opened ETO backup.

I did a Forum Search for OLEACC.dll issues, and it seams the 'fix' is just to delete the said file. Since my issues is somewhat different from the other posts, I just wanted verification that deleting the OLEACC.dll file is appropriate and would not muck things up even more.

The Spawn selector works as it should and ETO starts and functions (as far as I can tell) normally. I have not added or modified any missions or A/C since I last started ETO.

Thanks for the assist (reassurance) and my apologies if this ? is redundant.

Hi Barnstorm,
Yup, you're right, you can delete it from your CFS3 and its Expansions. I see that you're W7 and it has its own larger oleacc.dll, giving conflicts with the one in CFS3. XP did not have one, so CFS3 included a small one with just what it needed.

Thing is tho', I've never seen that error msg before, usually trouble with that dll starts when trying to join Multiplayer.

good luck!

Hello

That .dll interferes with win7 64 bit multiplayer and causes the game to CTD when trying to join MP sessions. Deleting it fixes that particular issue only. I have not seen the error you speak of. If you want, rather than deleting it, just cut and paste it to a new temporary location, like your desktop. Then run the game. If it does not fix the issue you can paste it back in

Cheers

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the replies...Upon further inspection (mucking around:icon_lol:), I find that the BDP.zap utility under the main C:\Program Files (x86)\MS GAMES\CFS3 ETO, works as it should (as far as I can tell any how). However, the ETO added shortcuts for Backup, BDP Zapper and Resolve are giving me the aforementioned error MSG. I have checked the 'properties' of all the files in ?, and find no discrepencies...And ETO ERA Swapper Spawn Selector work as they should...CFS3 ETO starts and "flies" as normally as ever.

Regards... :guinness:,

OLEACC.dll

Well, I deleted the above file (again), started CFS3_ETO and did some Free Flying in my Me 109e-4 in ERA 1. The program performed flawlessly and the shortcuts that were giving me a headache did not display the error msg either! All seemed right with the Flight Sim world....But then....After I shut 'er down (as usually) and checked the main C:\Program Files (x86)\MS Games\ETO file folder, the above file re-appeared! Huh, what's up with that? I checked the parameters in the shortcuts and now am really stumped :banghead:. Any ideas?

Thanks for your time on a Sunday afternoon,

Barnstorm.

Anti Virus?

Hmmm I am not sure about the Dll returning. Very odd. Regarding the BDP zapper and Resolution, take a look in your antivirus history and see if there are any quarantines relating to these files. Most AV programs will mistakenly quarantine them. If they are there try and restore them and then add them to the ignore list in your AV program options

Cheers
