Hello,
In several topics I see that the ETO 1.3 is under contruction.

Will it request a "clean" ETO 1.2 installation?
Or will it allow installation on a modded ETO 1.2?

im certain it will need a clean copy of eto 1.20 :wiggle:

In my opinion, it depends on what you have modded.
If you just added things such as aircrafts, missions and what is to them related as spawns and so on I think it does no arm to update it to a 1.3 version.
I mean, as long as this one just adds things, even effects, I think it could be done with no issues....
When you have modded ground textures, and the 1.3 modifies them, then you could get incompatibility problems of course resulting in a corrupted update.
 
That's probably going to be the easiest option - starting from a clean ETO. It remains to be seen whether 1.3 will just patch 1.20 or will replace and bypass the 1.20 patch entirely.

I would hope a standalone 1.3 with an improved installer will be available in time, just as MAW in its final 1.31 version was, but as I'm not a team member, I don't know what's planned.
 
As far as I'm aware, and I could be wrong! :kilroy: 1.3 will be a patch rather than a complete install. In this case it won't matter if you have a modded install.

But as I said, I may be wrong, I'm just a mud mover. :)
