ETO 1.40 ?'s

Barnstorm

"Molon Labe"
Greetings All, :kilroy:
I installed ETO 1.40 w/o issues and it flew great. Thanks to everyone here @ SOH for OUTSTANDING pre-install and forum support. Now, when I start ETO, I get sound and video, am able to see/select a/c, missions, load-outs, ect...but when I click on "Fly"-I get "CFS3 has stopped working....." I have checked and triple checked the instructions and edits. The only changes made btw the "go-no go" modes are:

1) install Win7-64 SP1
2) connect USB Headset (Creative Labs-have drivers)
3) calibrated by CH Fighterstick

My FSX and OFF BH&H fly fine, so must be in the ETO install somewhere. Also, my default "system" folder is odd it is C:\users\owern\Desktop\APPData\Roaming\MS\ect.....
I have deleted the files as recommended. Any thoughts other than "rip and re-install" would be appreciated.

PLEASE KEEP ALL VETS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN YOUR PRAYERS THIS INDEPENDENCE DAY...THEY PAID (PAY) FOR OUR FREEDOM. :medals:

Fixed ?

Looks like the culprit was my settings on the sound card...I had incr'd the sampling bit-rate to 48 bits @ 192k while ripping/burning music CD's. After I backed the settings down to 24 bits @ 48k, it works fine. Odd though, the intro music played just fine. That's the only change I have 'knowingly' made to correct the "CFS3 has stopped working" issue.

FYI, I am running a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Fatal1ty Xtreme Gamer (Mod SB046A).
