ETO and the save Chacha and Little Chacha mission

I must have flown this mission a couple of dozen times and watched the only video about it I can find. I wondered if anyone can comment on what is supposed to happen? I have

1 flown and landed - taxied to the flashing lights opened canopy waited but nothing happens. Flown home and failed the mission
2 flown to the destination - destroyed the half track - not landed - flown home and received the debrief success screen
3 Flown to the destination - landed as above - taken off - destroyed the half track - flown home and received the debrief success screen

The graphics on landing are great and it is a good mission but is ANYTHING else supposed to happen. The briefing says that C and Little C will give their names as passwords and you must take off with them. Is that just padding or is there supposed to be an interaction of some sort? If there is, how do I get that to happen?

Any comments in clarification would be appreciated.

The missions is one of Househobbit's missions that he made to go in ETO for the SOE Lysander. But as far as I remember that's about it. Due to CFS3 mission builder limitations this sort of thinking out of the box (i.e. not a combat mission) is tricky to resolve I've had similar probs trying to resolve recce missions.

Hello,
the object was to get the "Girls" Out..
Just to land and survive the low level flight into the target..

A limit was I could not have someone run to the aircraft and board it Bummer..
Can't do this in CFS3..

The Mission was one similar to missions flown during the war where they had to extract or drop someone into the occupied countries..
Not very exciting, but true to the type of missions flown..

Many historical missions are Boring!! Perhaps with a few seconds of excitement then nothing..
As in real life..It was often this way..

I hope that this helps out..

As for the failing the mission it is a limitation of the CFS3 game engine that causes this..
I usually build much more exciting missions, Hysterical more then Historical..:applause:

Hi HouseHobbit,
Very good of you to reply and save the grey hairs of an old flyer. That's all I needed to know and many thanks for an exciting mission. Crossing the channel wave hopping, getting shot down by everything under the sun (moon) successfully destroying the half track, landing, running people over and crashing into the house has given me much enjoyment before eventually succeeding. I suspect I will go back to it time and time again. I have just bought Track IR5 which adds a great new dimension. I only found ETO by accident and I am very glad I did. Many thanks to all of you that have turned it into such a great sim and many thanks to you for this secret mission.
