Hi, i have installed Evector Eurostar from fsnordic and its amazing little plane, but my flightsim crash everytime when i'm hit alt f4, could somebody help me?:guinness:

Alt+F4 is a default Windows command to instantly shut down a programme. It's really not crashing, just that this command will shut down the active programme, which in this case it's FS.

Thanks lazerbeak. . . .so kikas. . . .if you don't want your flightsim to close (crash) quit using Alt+F4.:salute:

Sim Commnads List

He is trying to use prop and fuel controls. 'Alt+F4' is 'Propeller (high RPM). And 'Ctrl+Shift+F4' is 'Mixture (full rich)'. What he needs is the Sim Commands list. 'Ctrl+4', by the way, is 'DME Ident (on/off)'. Of course 'F4' is 'Throttle (full)'. And if you are in 'Slew' mode, then 'F4' is 'Slew Up Quickly'.

AND..'Exit Flight Sim Immediately' is NOT 'CTRL+F4' but 'Ctrl+Break'. And where is the 'Break' key? Don't know-sorry. 'Exit Flt Sim' is 'Cntrl+C'. (I am cheating and reading off my FltSim Commands list. I don't claim to remember all of them combinations. No need).

But neither of those 'quick quit' FS are a 'safe' way to exit FS. FS needs to save your settings, etc and you should exit thru Menu option to prevent any accidental corruption of files. You'll thank me later.

Ok, I've never used key stroke commands as all the necessary commands are mapped via FSUIPC to my throttle and joystick. I would still say, if Alt+F4 is making your sim crash. . . .don't use it. Find an alternative.

In my install which is set at default Cntrl+F4 is prop high RPM

There are not any default commands in FS that start with ALT

Alt + F4 is not a Flight Simulator command it is a windows command. Specifically it closes the application that is in focus.

My Guess would be that kikas also has Prompt on exit "unchecked". By having Prompt on Exit unchecked pressing Alt + F4 will shut off Flight Simulator right now. If Prompt on Exit is checked then you will be prompted to shut down FS.

FS9 (and I believe FSX) does not use any command beginning with the Alt key. You can assign the key by itself, but it will likely cause issues because it also activates the menu and pauses the Sim. (FSX doesn't pause, but the menu still activates.) If the command you're looking for is the one to increase propeller RPM to max, that would be Ctrl+F4 by default. HOwever, Alt+F4 should not simply crash your Sim. What you should see is a popup confirmation to exit the Sim gently. As already mentioned, Ctrl+Break will immediately and not-so-gently end the program.

I'm sorry formy poor english, what i wanted to say is that when i load this plane and try to close flight simulator it crashes instead of shutting down properly

In that case, can you tell us if there is any error message, and if there is, what that message says?

Sorry for inconveniences, in morning my brains wake up and i disabled dsd_xml_sound3 gauge in panel.cfg, no more crashes everything works smooth as silk, thats really nice plane :salute:
