Even more Beaufighters!

Thanks to all of you , great planes for sure !
Where might I find the wd_pilot & the wd_gunner ?

OTTO

Pilot and gunner

They are included in the weapons that come with the Beaufighter. I might not have put them in all the downloads.

I appreciate all the work you've done on the beau mate.... I only had a chance to go for a fly with them this morning.... had a ball of a time :jump:

Pete

Thank you for these great planes! I never knew there were so many different versions!

:amen: They just rolled that one in safn, it was restored over a period of four years or some long number like that... it's a beaut, it is!

Here is a much better photo, the lighting is terrible and it takes a very long exposure to get a photo that's good.

Is that the Beau that was swapped by the RAF Museum for a Typhoon IIRC?

I wasn't aware that the USAFM had a Typhoon. It was probably a project.

I'm having some elevator flutter when the Beau goes near 270 Kts and have augered in a few times. Anyone else having this drama? :help: I really love these planes Biz, thank you

I think the airfile was tweaked to maximize its capabilities for AI attacks so maybe using another of the Beau airfiles for player-only will do the trick. That will mean some duplication and renaming in the aircraft folder but these Beaus are the real deal and worth it!

DD, got my wires slightly crossed. Beau I'm thinking of was swapped with RCAF for a complete Bolingbroke/Blenheim which is now at Hendon.

The Typhoon which was part of the NASM (and the only one complete) was swapped for a Hurricane in the early Sixties.

:focus:

Mike, I tried the airfile for the 1C you sent. It does iron out the elevator flutter but the max speed I can obtain in level flight, clean is 237 Kts which is just a bit below specs. There is also some wallowing during low level manoeuvring but once lined up on target its straight as a die. It'll do just fine, thanks again

I wonder what the max speed reported by RAAF pilots in tropical trials was. Nothing like humidity for dulling the edge!

He's at it again, this time a Mk. Ic without prop spinners. Great work, Bismarck! :ernae:
