Everything but vehicles?

Hey all

I am a fan of WW2 airplanes, vehicles, ships, and more. Their are alot of WW2 add ons like this but no vehicles. For instance no FS2004 Willys Jeep, M3A1 Half Track, or anything in the matter. Why don't developers make these vehicles? Thanks
 
There is a Willys available here at SOH, it's bundled with one of the WWII airfields, Tinedale if I recall, if not someone will have the right file name. There are a set of Deuce-and-a-Half's at flightsim.com. Another soft skin vehicle is the LRDG Chevy that's here also. Search the name " Hama" in most of the download sites as he made an Austin ambulance some time ago.

Anything else you may want to try to things from CFS2 but no gaurantees, some will work but most wont.

1. I'm talking about something I can drive, but thanks regarding deuce and a half.

these formats wouldn't be driveable, twas the 300kb filesize that gave it away, but thanks, nice to add to scenery, will come in handy.

One of Bill Lyons packs comes with a Jeep, civilian tho.

Lionhearts Operation Valkyrie (payware) comes with a driveable Kubelwagen. A pack that offers so much more and worth any penny. Also a driveable German Submarine!!

A word to the curious, as CFS2 ships are *.mdl files, with a bit of cut'n'shut and Tomfoolery, they can ALL be made pilotable.

In defense of the designers, I have to mention a couple of things:

1) FS2004 is a civilian sim, thus you're more apt to find what you're looking for in the CFS series sims.

2) It's a flight sim, so aircraft are the primary things you'll see designed :d
 
Also, search at Avsim for 'rcbcha29.zip', it is a modern tank (Challenger II), but as Rob tends to do, he adds his touch of magic.

Readme states,
Special features in V2:
- Accurate steering, max speed, ac/de-celleration and braking.
Also in mountenous area's !
- A gearbox (6-gear Forward, Neutral and Reverse) with manual & automatic
switching mode.
- Engine smoke and external lights.
- Fully controllable turret and barrel, with sound.

dunno if it could be adapted to other vehicles, haven't tried it.
