Exhausts at night

SOH-CM-2025
So to discontinue this on Steve's AI Radar thread. :wiggle:I have moved the conversation here. I am experimenting with the combination of stirling_mki_xxx_t.+light.dds with a glowing exhaust as John was helping me with, plus the EffectName="ac_exhaust_glow" in the xdp. As I said in the other thread, it would be nice to have blue exhaust flames which only worked in the daytime, but for TOW, it's not really necessary. Attached are 2 screenshots, 1 closer up and 1 as far away as I coukd see them with my room lights set at 5% brightness. This or lights off will probably be needed for one to see them even in the screenshots!

When the kittyhawk came out I remember needing to fine tune the red glow and blue flame locations to get the combined look just right.

So, is the idea when there are exhaust shrouds, these will glow red, and only a very small blue exhaust flame would be visible? Is there a difference between fighter_exhaust_blue_flame and bomber_exhaust_blue_flame?

The fighter exhaust are small and individual. The bomber you only really need one. For planes like the day fighter bf110s, He111, and BMW H Ju88, mossies, and others with engine stacks I use the fighter for each exhaust stack.
