Exploding Hanger0

Guys,

Its always nice to see new structures coming for the sim. Not trying to be a buzzkill, but any exisitng hangar can also be made to 'explode' by simply modifying the effects in the dp. Just setup the effects table as you would a bomb or an aircraft's fuel tank. You can even make secondary blasts appear. That's what its gonna come down to for this and any other 'exploding' structures on the drawing board. Keep up the good work Robert. :ernae:

That's what I did with the LW_Water Tower. I changed the destroyed effect parameter to Ghotpony's napalm efffect, turning it into a fuel tank instead:

If I rebuild Hanger0 It will have a damage model left after the explosion.
I read but cannot find at the moment, it is possible to make models that once destroyed you can turn the destroyed object to rubble.

That would be nice Robert. The painted rubble of the stock MS hangers do not look very authentic.

Some time ago, the B24 Guy posted damaged building for CFS 2. They add a lot to the immersion factor, but they are placed into the scenery already dammaged. I use them quite a bit to simulate bombed out areas of the Reich.
 
Wolfi also uploaded some objects that displayed very realistic damage models. Look in the archive for his "CFS2_Large_bridge.zip" file. It might give you some hints on how to spawn your dammage model after it is blown up.

I have the models, I am still learning, cfs2 seems only to like low polys so my work is based on low poly work.
I have read you can make a model undamaged jump to damaged, jump to rubble, and this can keep going untill the last model, but lost the web page.Hope to learn this soon.
