Ezdok view system

After about a year of looking longingly at the great videos produced around this software view system (and being intimidated by the complex set up.), I finally decided to take the plunge. Took me awhile watching videos, ****, etc. but I finally have a couple of aircraft set up in a working state. Very cool stuff with much still to learn.

Do any of you guys use this view system? if so, is it possible to trade aircraft profiles rather than develop them for every plane on my hard drive? (that would be a LOT of aircraft.) Is there a repository for these ?

Eric,

EZDOK is indeed a really cool addon. To my knowledge, there is not a site with a large repository of EZCA (Ezdok) profiles. There was a forum member on one of the sites with a fairly long list of profiles, but mostly tubeliners, and not a single Razbam or any of Dino's creations.

What I normally do is pick a aircraft with a cockpit that is similar to the one I want to modify, then import it, make the changes I want, and then save that profile for my particular aircraft.

I am somewhat surprised that the idea of posting profiles has not caught on, but oh well. The process of creating custom profiles isn't so difficult as it is time consuming.

There are numerous such files at Avsim. Check out the ones by a man called Feldstein.
It is a very fickle program to get up and running properly.

The single best video I ever found was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEiOjB4mOUI here there are a couple of useful tweaks that have to be applied to TrackIR if you use that item.

also check out the ones by Eric Krueger (there are 6) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCakry2nN-ULRxBD831BYOaQ very good.

There is a fair amount of other support on You Tube otherwise too.

Ultimately it takes only a few moments to get something basic but acceptable up and running. As the Chief says, borrowing a similar set up from another a/c and then fine tuning is the way to go. Bish Bosh Bish done. :biggrin-new:

Along with Naismith's comments, even when you do import a profile someone else has created, there's always tweaking involved because of personal preference. :encouragement: NC
