EZDOK Walk 1.22 (the free version)

David, I get the impression from the site you linked to that you're basically on your own to figure this utility out, no documentation. . .nothing to even tell you how to get started. The videos are impressive, but they aren't instructional.:salute:

UPDATE: That didn't take long at all. . .don't like the mouse being tied to it and don't want to change key designations. It's history. What we need is Active Camera for FSX. . .really enjoyed that while I was flying FS9. This one. . .not at all.

Yes, ActiveCamera was very intuitive; and the price (in retrospect) very reasonable. On the subject of documentation: you're right, there isn't much, is there? Hence my second link to the AVSIM thread.

I've been waiting to buy Ezdok Camera, until you can cycle views. (See Bill Womack's blog post on this.) Ezdok Walk is clearly not just rough but jagged around the edges; I hadn't considered it until MirageIII2009 said he was using it for his excellent videos: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=39664&p=445228&viewfull=1#post445228. That's a pretty high recommendation.

While I don't have the Flight1 release of the Ezdok thingie (yet), it's my understanding that it has gone a long way from the initial freeware release to the recent payware release.
Apples and oranges, assumed you're attempting to compare the both, me thinks.

I have to say that even with the key remapping involved and the lack of cycling, I still think EZDok is a worthwhile add-on. Once they add view cycling, it'll be about as good as it can get without totally reengineering it. Several people have asked the developer for something more stripped-down - in the vein of Active Camera - but he has explained that it's not possible to remove the cameras themselves while still retaining the head latency effects. Given the way he programmed EZCA, I can see how that would be the case.

For me, it's still one of the best add-ons I've bought in years. By the way, here's my review: http://iblueyonder.com/review-ezca/

I've been using EZDok for a while now. It is absolutely NECESSARY for video work, and it gets better. Many thanks to Mr. Halpern for giving me a copy to work on commercial work. This program has saved me a lot of time of editing shots.

Actually I was referring to that when I made that statement. I used that link and found page after page of folks talking about it, but I saw no "note" or PDF files or documents to download.

That's neither here nor there, I didn't like it and since I don't do videos and rarely have a need to walk around the cockpit of a Fighter or Tim's latest ultralight, I can probably say It was nothing I really needed anyway.:salute:

The EZDOK for sale on 'Flight 1' is a work in progress. Unfortunately it costs $35 to find out how far they've progressed. Far enough to see the potential but, with what appears to be a skeleton crew, they're right on the edge of what air traffic controllers call 'going down the sh*tter'. They need to hire someone who thinks in English to rewrite the manual. That seems to be a major stumbling block.
