F-100 engine trim

F100F Super Sabre , Engine trim check of the Pratt & Whitney
J57-P-21A . The trim check was made with the tail section
removed , for better ground run cooling and allowing leak inspection
of afterburner fuel pluming.

The F-8 Crusader had essentially the same engine. I don't hear a boom noise when the AB kicks in.

there's a pretty pronounced "thump" when AB goes off. the low frequency sonics are probably not captured very well by the audio recording.
