F-111 PIG HUD PROJECT for FSX.

I have installed this F-111. Really nice, have a few questions though if someone could help. One, the catapult red light stays flashing. Can it be turned off? Also, the normal small bar for the cop30 doesn't appear. I am sure I could rework the cop30 system but would rather use it the way it was installed. Been looking at the panel upgrades as well and not sure about their installation. Any and all input on using this aircraft I would be grateful.

Hi Mike ,

Thank you for the comments , the F-111 Pig HUD was created to meet my demands for an advanced panel
with instrumentation that has capabilities that are missing in other aircraft.
It is a pilot's aircraft .

Could you please check that the Rbco-30 has been installed in accordance with the installation instructions
that are included in Rbco-30.

Have you got FSUIPC installed ?

On purpose I configured the panel structure to get rid of the small onscreen bar .

If you installed the following freeware package ,

FSX F-111 PIG HUD PROJECT-Navigation/Situation awareness cockpit.
** F-111 Build Std 08 - WEF 08AUG2013 ** COMPLETE AIRCRAFT **

then no panel upgrades are necessary , the Build standard 08 is the same for both the complete aircraft
and the panel package.
The panel package was uploaded as an upgrade for only those that had an earlier version installed .

The red catapult light works on my computer , it is only meant to flash if you are precisely in the catapult zone
in the "old" fixed aircraft carriers such as "Carriers 2006" and only if you have a catapult INI that has the
applicable catapult location co ordinates , check you INI by opening it with Notepad , I have seen INI's
that do not have the correct carrier entries.

The Rcbo-30 does allow both catapult launches and arrested landings on carriers , runways , roads , or
even hardened rooftops , I enjoy the carriers and rooftops , good fun.

The flashing red catapult light can be disabled if desired by commenting it out in the panel cfg
change as follows :

Thanks! Yes, I figured it out. I did find though the tail hook to long, didn't meet between 60-80 like the robco instructuins suggest. I changed it to:

[TAILHOOK]
TAILHOOK_LENGTH=6.36
TAILHOOK_POSITION=-22.9, 0.0, -0.65
CABLE_FORCE_ADJUST=1.0

Sometimes if it's not just right it will crash my computer. These numbers set me at 65. Beautiful work! Even my wife said wow!

I have never had Rbco-30 crash my computer ( yet ! ) , however if I lower the tailhook and 'forget' to lower
my undercarriage , then on landing it instantly goes crazy and out of control , if I wait the aircraft spirals
upwards and continues upwards .
I have hit pause and taken wonderful screenshots from altitudes of about 500,000' , the only way to stop it
is to exit the current session.
As in RL always lower your gear prior to landing .

If you are into bombs , I recommend the Chris Sykes freeware Weapons package.
I created a Bomb Ripple release switch that allows you to set ,
1. number of bombs. (eg: 24 No )
2. time interval between each bomb (eg: 0.22 second )
then clicking the release switch once releases that complete ripple.

A gent over at FS Developer created a module for me that enables the release to be triggered in all views
including outside views such as 'Tower".
I also generated the included visual PDF to make weapon identification and selection easier.

A couple of days ago Chris Sykes released here at this FSX forum his new " Air Weapons Range "
package it is fantastic , has 5 weapon ranges in England , it's a must have addon .

On the lighter side .
Altitude 4, 030,849' .
Victoria , Australia at lower centre , Tasmania at lower right .
New Zealand on horizon , with South Island under nose .
Not sure what the round object was , as it was not showing up on my radar at the time .
