Note: you can see a AME sitting on a TMU-70 Lox cart. The F-8's lox converter was not removable like most Cold War aircraft, necessitating a mobile cart. Also, not exactly sure, but the vehicle on the opposite side is either a electric cart or a huffer. But what I find most interesting is the front end of it appears to be modified Willys jeep.1000073593.jpg

Hey Pete.
That pic was taken either on the Hancock or the Bonnie Dick (circa 66/67). Modex 452 is a VF-24 F 8-C - I was an ordie then with them. The jeeps had one tire in the back and two in front. The Modex of the 100 series were of VF-211 We called them Brand- X
The Jeep was electric cart. Most F-8's needed both AC and DC cables for start up.
