F-HESB, Chamonix Mont Blanc, for the ND AS350

Not much interest here based on the number of views-versus-comments. That's OK I suppose. (shrug) This forum "group" is mainly centered around military schemes, which I don't do.
A few more bits done.

More realistic blade textures.

Thank you, very much.

I mentioned I had planned this particular scheme earlier (months ago) after re-creating CMBH F-HFBI. That scheme (I think) was a more simple task even though it too was highly detailed.
This scheme, well, I had no idea how detailed it actually is on the real helicopter. Tito (the originator of the design) had went through many different stages of air-brushing to get the visual affect as seen in his work.
He must have went through the masking tape and rolls of paper by the cases as he built up the depth in his work!

I do feel rewarded from my efforts. It's a real learning experience attained as I better my 3D depth perception on a malformed egg. :icon_lol:

Also, most here, and other places I have posted images as I progress the stages of this particular scheme, I have a feeling most of the interest comes from flight sim enthusiasts where this scheme hits closer to home. France.
So to all my fellow virtual pilots, and everyone who enjoys what flight simulator is here for, I do this for me, and for you!

A few more shots as I get nearer my goal.
Mind you, the white appearance is actually polished aluminum. Pictures don't really show this.
The main body and upper shroud are not yet worked in.
"Don't procrastinate. Paint it!"

While doing a walk around after it was just washed an hour ago, someone was climbing on it!

The scheme is currently going through the alpha & spec layer stages. Plus I've added several previously overlooked details.

I may make reinvent bump maps. If new bump maps are done, the rivets and panel lines will get replaced prior to that stage. I've yet to decide.

Happy Veterans Day, folks. :salute:

No work today so I have been at it since 2:30am getting this as far as I can in preparation of release. I'm not meaning to tease. I just want to be absolutely sure I have not missed any details.
The paint scheme is finished aside from new bump maps. For those following the progress, there is a new folder for viewing.

If you care to read, a little story about my doing this paint scheme.

This scheme, CMBH F-HESB, I have done the most work on out of all the schemes I've done to date. I visually scanned every photo that I had meticulously so I could put every last detail on the exterior. If you followed my progress at any of the forums I posted in, I posted a LOT of pictures. Numerous times I thought the scheme was ready for release. After I posted more images, I would notice I forgot to add some details somewhere. Scanning my resources was never ending.

This (oops, :isadizzy: I forgot something) seemed never ending. Back to my templates I went.
It won't be long now. I'm currently writing a little read-me that will need translation from English-to-French before I can package it up.

NOTE: Google translate is not the best. If anyone can assist me with translating the "read-me", it would be appreciated.

This paint is looking fantastic OleBoy, I'm really looking forward to it. I think it will look good in Prepar3D!

Regards,
Ian.

Thanks, Ian. It is a lot of work. My endeavors are really bringing it to life. I should have changed my approach (how many schemes have I done?) ages ago.

I thought my work on F-HESB was finished. I'm finding more details to add. It really makes a difference!

More details added.

1] The weatherstrip below the front glass.

2] Door hinges (front doors) are now textured and look like real hinges.
I'm driving myself NUTS trying to find the door-pin release mechanism and pin. HELP!! :banghead:

3] The engine cowl (long hinge on both sides) has been re-done.

4] The step pockets redone on the right/left sides.

5] Engine hatch cover latches & rivets added and/or reworked.

6] Sling mounts (where they attach to the fuselage/landing struts) have been added.

7] The flag now appears to be tied on with real rope.

8] Recessed lights added in the bottom behind the forward light shrouds.

**Bump/normal maps are also being worked on.
** Displayed in Prepar3D. ;)

Updates can be viewed at; http://sdrv.ms/RQ6GxE

New bump and normalmaps are completed.

Now I'm noticing an anomaly. I think it's in the model itself and not noticeable, or as noticeable on solid color schemes. It is an apparent difference that I'm investigating.
Considering there have been so many other re-painters doing schemes for the AS350, I'm curious if anyone else has noticed the shine difference where it flows from the cabin top, to the sides and engine shrouds?

**Bump/Normals are something I planned on doing (but forgot) on CMBH, F-HFBI. I still may.
