It would be nice to have a different champion this year, but it will be difficult for Alonso as he will have to finish on the podium. If Alonso wins, Vettel will need to finish fifth or lower. If Alonso comes in second, Vettel needs a seventh place, and if Alonso finished third, Vettel only needs an eight place. Then again, we have seen strange things happen in the last race the past few years, even in Brazil...
Remember that wet race where Massa had the title for a few seocnds, until Hamilton passed Glock in the last corner of the very last lap and took the title..?

Note - Maldonado drops 10 grid spots after missing a call to the weigh bridge and thus receiving his third stewards reprimand of the season

It might not happen but Ferrari are odds on favourites to play their "Gearbox Replacement" game on Massa's car.
Asked if he will "help" Vettel the reply from Mark was very brief and rather terse.
I don't care how they do it but I'm really plugging for Alonso this year, and a wet race will throw all the cards into the air. :icon29:

What a fantastic race! :jump:

Great drives from Button and Alonso but also from Vettel, recovering from last on the first lap to sixth and take the title.

Results:

Good see Lewis get a standing ovation at McLaren....
That being said, something must not be quite right at McLaren. I say this because prior to Lewis leaving, both Alonso & Raikkonen left too.....

Button is poised to be King at McLaren now - I think he'll mop the floor with Sergio.......

Helluva drive by Vettel today - against some long odds.....& "Kudos" to Alonso for a close second in a clearly inferior car to the Red Bull....
