Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Fingers crossed it all goes OK, we have a bunch of militant students threatening to disrupt proceedings.

Seven races, seven different winners! :ernae:

Good race from Lewis, and brilliant drives from Grosjean and Perez!

Note - Maldonado qualified 17th, but dropped five grid places as penalty for an unscheduled gearbox change.

Some big casualties in the Tyre Wars, so degrading to have everyone pass you as you skate around in the dying stages on dead rubber!
Well done to Lewis for calling it right.
Button's Tyre War apparently lost the minute he turned a wheel...

What a shame to have tires decide the race.... F1 no longer holds much interest to me. The current rules suck.

Yes and no...
It might seem stupid to have tyres determine the outcome.
But watch the race unfold, and you can see the psychological battle develop.
Balls-out Racers are going to ruin their tyre resource and die by the end of the race, pussyfooted drivers are not likely to win either.
Finding the sweet spot is difficult.
Tyres are just one part of the whole, complex, equation.
In my view, F1 has never been better... in 7 races there have been 7 winners, and the lead has constantly changed in the drivers rankings.
