Anybody played it yet? The differences to F1 2012 are quite subtle. But the classic cars are great! :applause:

Don't think I'll bother honestly....

I have both 2010 and 2011, and had my share of problems with both games.

The AI sucks big time, as do the artificial Marshalls (Spin in Monaco, get a ten-place grid penalty for 'illegal blocking'...) and I've had more than a few corrupt savegames, and GFWL only managed to recover my data once. That really blows when you are a few races into your career and you have to start all over again!

Dunno, maybe I'll pick it up somewhere in the future when most bugs are sorted and the price drops, but right now I have very little faith in Codemasters to produce antything worth $50..

Hi Ferry,

F1 2013 is the first part of the series I own (got F1 2012 for preordering F1 2013 but had not much time to play it). So I have not much experience with the older titles. I guess with your history I would have been more carefully as well :)
But so far I like the game. It's not really a hard-core simulation and it has its weak spots, but all in all, I find it quite entertaining and well worth the money :running:

For classic F1 I still use good old rFactor, for which I have several F1 mods installed: 1937, 1965, '67, '71, '75, '79, '90 and 1991. There are several more, but some are just better than others.
I also have a nice Formula 5000 1972 mod installed, and somewhere on disk I have two Formula 2 mods too. (1976 and 1978 IIRC)

And of course there's still Project C.a.r.s. (Not accepting new buyers at the moment though) that has five modern monoposto's and the Lotus 49, 79 and 99T.

Is it joystick friendly? I bought one racing game some time back which had no J/S support. I'm not that much a fan to pay out for a wheel but had fun years ago with GP4..... shame that series was not followed up on.

I don't know if a joystick would be a good choice. I'm also not a big racing wheel fan. So I bought a XBox controller for my PC and it works excellent. I can only recommend it! Not only for F1 2013; it also works great with other games like GTR Evolution or Race :)
