I may be wrong, but one trick, Chris, is to record FS at half speed then speed it up with the video editing software. If you get it right, it looks superb.

Yes, in fact , sometimes and in this case too (max autogen, clouds at 4096 a lot of buildings, i recorded at half speed and then put the speed at 200% also because fraps "eat" a lot of frame and so it became smooth!! In the other video "play snow" i'v done all in real time, but there was not so much autogen!!
