difference is the file ENGINE COVER.bmp. F4U-4 has only 8 cowl flaps.

Finding decent WW2 schemes for the -4 is tough, they were somewhat late to the party. This one is Ken Walsh's mount, June '45.

but you always rely on the Kiwi's to continue to use the earlier stuff 'til it falls to bits






These two are actually early -1D's (without the frameless canopy), so I used Acwai's -1A model to depict them...
