• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

F8F wip shots

Bruce - Hate to sound like a broken record from another forum but those empty prop hubs just don't get it. By the way, the Sea Fury paint makes a better looking Bearcat because the Sea Fury is a better looking plane.

Dave, The prop hub issue has been addressed, just that I don't have the updated model yet, I don't need it to paint.

You're welcome! The Dreamliner landing was a fluke. Nobody expected it, and I just looked up and there it was on approach! Fun treat.

Where oh where has our bearkitty gone...........?

Mud, like any self-respecting member of the cat family, its probably laying quietly in the sun doing some grooming before it pounces on the public at large ! :icon_lol:

I have a feeling that this one will be a treat for all when it's rolled out of the hangar.....

DennyA....nice pics !

One thing I learned about cats is that they do what they want, when they want to do it!

I'm headed to NAS Oceana's annual show in a couple of weeks and they are featuring a group that normally flies P-51's but are going to fly two F8F's for Oceana's show :

The Horsemen Flight Team is the world's only P-51 Mustang formation aerobatic team, comprised of three highly-skilled warbird pilots - Jim Beasley, Dan Friedkin, and Ed Shipley - who normally fly the legendary Mustang three feet apart in a tightly choreographed aerobatic performance. For the NAS Oceana air show, the team is trading in its Mustangs for two F8F Bearcats and an F4U Corsair to honor the Navy and the original flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels. The Horsemen are sponsored by ASB.TV (http://www.asb.tv) a social networking website for aviation enthusiasts that features videos, photos, news, and forums

Bearcat's aplenty I'm a'thinking !
