Baldy,

This would be a welcome addition for attacks on the Tirpitz, thank you so very much!

Barracuda

thank you for your kind words -- UncleTgt is doing a major series of skins which ought to satisfy most people

Great work on what is arguably the most difficult animation of landing gear and folding wings of any of our cyber aircraft. Those flaps don't look easy either.

Absolutely bloody marvellous!! Not a pretty craft nor famous but a hell of a lot of history on the Isle of Man where they trained at HMS Urley. My Grandfather often talks about watching them

Baldy,

They are approved, and thank you again for this unexpected gift! One question though...why is there a need for a dedicated AI model?

AI model

just thought the AI would lessen the impact on frame-rates if someone had a load of a/c in a mission -- only if they want it

cheers

baldy

ps UncleTgt has a pile of skins which will soon be available

Baldy,

If the aircraft itself is multi-lod, it should not be a problem...

Baldy,

It may not be too late...did you model the aircraft using FSDS or GMAX? If you have the model source files, someone could use them to create a multi-lod model for you. I can think of several aircraft that have been modified this way...your Firefly comes to mind, as well as the FS France Me-262, the Westland Whirlwind, and the Bruce Thorson P-40 B/C.

Multi lod

Hi

At Rami's prompting I have made the aircraft multi-lod - this new mdl should do the trick

(Rami could you put this new mdl in the upload zip please?)

Baldy,

Thank you so very much, and I will update the package tonight. Please do not misunderstand my prompting as being a "rivet-counter" or otherwise ungrateful...it's just that this is one of those aircraft that I've been hoping to have for years, and it would have been a bit of a downer to not be able to use her in her full capacity. I always felt the Tirpitz missions were lacking without her...

...so again, my deepest thanks for accommodating me. :salute:

Baldy,

I also noticed some issues with the airfile...it looks like you may have used the Avenger and Hellcat? as a base, but the information in the airfile was somewhat problematic. I re-wrote the text, and added the correct Merlin engine specifications, as far as the number of cylinders, engine displacement, compression ratio, and aircraft weight. This, together with adjusting the propeller scalar, brought the performance of the aircraft to within reasonable limits.

Baldy & UncleTgt,
