With the success of HMS Campania's flying trials, the Fairey Campania was specifically designed for use on this vessel. The aircraft was mainly used as a spotter and patrol a/c. Apart from equipping HMS Campania, it also served with a few RNAS squadrons at points in the English Channel. During the Russian revolution British intervention forces supporting the White Russians used several Fairey Campanias.
