`Fairey Firefly Mk I Should have Cannon

Hey DP gurus,
My Fireflies show in the DP that the guns are hitting like cannons (1d1*24) but in "F3" mode it shows rounds in machine guns, but ZERO rounds in cannon.
They also sound like machine guns, not cannons.
How do I correct that?
Thanks,
DD73

The cannon could be set to use the gun trigger and ammo counter. The sound can be changed. Use DPED to change the sound to what is closest to your cannon.

Don't forget the AI

Guys

Don't forget the AI - they will only recognise MGs. That's why I always alter dps to use the MG trigger for everything.

Try a QC against the stock George - he will make runs at you & run rings round you, but he won't fire at you.

Well then.....

If AI only recognize and use MGs, there is no way I am changing to cannons in the DPs.
I will leave them as MGs and just make sure the damage profile puts them as inflicting cannon shell damage.

Thanks UT!!

While I am on the subject of the Firefly, can someone take a look at the VC for me and tell me how to correct the view?

It appears as though my eyes are in the canopy glass versus being below in the actual cockpit.

I will take a screenshot and post here in a few minutes.

The VC viewpoint is in the aircraft.cfg file.

look for something like:
[views]
eyepoint= x,y,z
x is fore/aft
y is side to side
z is up/down

adjust these numbers until you get the eye position you want :encouragement:

Captain K,
This is all it has:

[Views]
eyepoint=-0.50,0.000000,2.450340

SO,.... I change the 2.450340 to a lesser number? How much of a change?
